The stars are the accurate copy of the wartime aluminium collar star (compared on a first photo) with the correct size for tunics.
The original star was attached by the screw, but for the reenactment purposes I have decided to copy the different solution, still wartime, but less popular: the stars are attached to the collar tab/tunics using two thin metal prongs. Thanks to that, there is no need to pierce the collar tabs or the collar of tunic with the huge hole.
